Creative brides, otherwise known as do it yourself queens are some of the best brides. They have an army of family and friends ready to go the extra mile to help create their vision. I love brides that know what and how they want their big day to turn out. When a bride is clear on what she wants and how she wants it she can manufacturer those ideas into reality.
Why would an event planner say these things well, because it’s true and it simplifies things for the event planner to ensure that your day goes off without a hitch & that there are no loose ends that you will have to hike up your wedding dress and deal with at the end of the night. Everyone needs a bit of help here and there and asking family members to help you with your wedding is fine , but would you want them to execute said plans, with the secure feeling that they know exactly what they are doing? Well for those of you who said yes “my auntie can manage anything” , be aware that most family members dont want to work on the day everyone else is celebrating.
Being a DIY bride can save you some coins … yes everyone likes to save especially when you have a tight budget; but to what extent, remember the family members you asked to coordinate and serve and cook and secure valuable items want to enjoy your event as well .You might also be putting them at risk if they are not licensed to carry out certain tasks in certain states. It might not be a bad Idea to hire a ‘day of event coordinator’ to tie all your ideas together. It would be safe to say no one wants to search for their valuable items that should have been carefully wrapped up and preserved as a memorandum of your special day.
